The Government of Canada's Poverty Reduction Act (2019) sets an official poverty measure (Canada's Official Poverty Line), concrete poverty reduction targets and establishes the National Advisory Council on Poverty (hereinafter referred to as the Council).The Council is mandated to:

Review of applications (more information here) will begin on April 14, 2023. Candidates are strongly encouraged to submit their application by this date, along with a resume and cover letter addressed to the Director of Selection Processes, Senior Personnel Secretariat, Privy Council Office. Applications will continue to be accepted after this date and may be considered up until an appointment to the position is made.
