The Veterans' Ombudsman works toward ensuring that the sacrifices of Canada's Veterans and their families are recognized through the provision of services, benefits, and support in a fair, accessible, and timely manner; as well as playing an important role in raising awareness of the needs and concerns of Veterans and their families.The Ombudsman is an impartial and independent officer, reporting directly to the Minister of Veterans Affairs Canada, in accordance with the Veterans Bill of Rights.Further details about the organization and its activities can be found on Office of the Veterans' Ombudsman’s website.
The Government of Canada will consider bilingual proficiency and diversity in assessing applicants. A link to this notice will be placed in the Canada Gazette to assist the Governor in Council in identifying qualified candidates for this positions. It is not, however, intended to be the sole means of recruitment. A roster of qualified candidates may be established and may be used for similar opportunities.
