**If you applied between October 28, 2020 and December 2, 2020 you do not need to re-apply to be considered for this position.The Freshwater Fish Marketing Corporation (FFMC) is a federal agent Crown corporation that reports to Parliament through the Minister of Fisheries, Oceans and the Canadian Coast Guard. Enabled under the Freshwater Fish Marketing Act, the Corporation has the exclusive right to market and trade freshwater fish in interprovincial and export markets in designated products supplied by participating jurisdictions. Directors are primarily responsible for the overall stewardship of the Corporation while overseeing the Corporation’s key deliverables and providing general direction in the establishment of corporate objectives and broad policies that support these corporate objectives. Directors also identify the principal risks to the Corporation and ensure that the appropriate systems are in place to manage them. Finally, Directors lead the selection and the evaluation of the President and formulate recommendations to the Minister for consideration. Directors should expect to commit approximately twenty (20) days annually for meetings, travel and preparation for meetings.
