The Inuvialuit Arbitration Board has the jurisdiction to arbitrate any differences between the Inuvialuit, industry, Governments of Canada, Northwest Territories or Yukon as to the meaning, interpretation, application or implementation of the Western Artic (Inuvialuit) Final Agreement. The Board has the jurisdiction to hear disputes relating to enrolment under the Western Artic (Inuvialuit) Final Agreement, land matters, subsurface resource claims, sand and gravel, participation agreements, and wildlife compensation awards. The role of the member includes participating in the arbitration process for issues within the jurisdiction of the Arbitration Board, including sitting on arbitration panels as designated by the chairperson.
