The Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI) operates, manages, monitors, constructs, rehabilitates, maintains and repairs the following bridges, roads, and tunnels under federal jurisdiction located in the Greater Montreal Area: the Champlain and Jacques Cartier Bridges, the federal portion of the Honoré Mercier Bridge and approaches thereto, and three related infrastructure, namely a section of the Bonaventure Expressway, the Champlain Bridge Ice Control Structure, and the Melocheville Tunnel. Its mission is to provide a safe passage for users through the management, maintenance, and rehabilitation of its infrastructure assets by optimizing traffic flow and respecting the environment. The JCCBI strives to provide the Government of Canada with the highest level of custodianship of these infrastructure assets.The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for providing strategic guidance, oversight and leadership to the JCCBI and is accountable to the board of directors. The CEO will be responsible to create vision and strategy, mobilize people, uphold integrity and respect, collaborate with partners and stakeholders, promote innovation and guide change and achieve results. The CEO is responsible for all aspects of the Corporation’s activities, including the overall operating and financial performance of the JCCBI, and ensures the provision of professional advice and recommendations to the JCCBI’s Board of Directors regarding the effective planning, oversight, maintenance, operation and management of the infrastructure in the Corporation’s portfolio, thereby contributing to the maintenance of a secure, safe and reliable transportation and economic network. The CEO participates in board decision-making processes as one of the seven members of the Board.
